CiF Watch, a CAMERA affiliate, has prompted a rare correction at the Economist on an article which incorrectly reported on American Jewish views on Israel and Iran. As initially noted by CiF Watch, the Nov. 25 Economist article (“Israel heads for a terrifying split“) supported its argument that Israel’s opposition to the Iranian nuclear deal would bring Jerusalem to “loggerheads with a large fraction of American Jews” with the following passage:
But as CiF Watch noted, a click on the embedded hyperlink reveals that the ADL poll queried Americans in general, and did not determine the views of American Jews in particular. After numerous communications from CiF Watch, the Economist finally commendably changed the text and appended the following correction:
