Ha’aretz Corrects: Rape Victim Was Israeli, Not Palestinian

CAMERA’s Israel office prompts a corrrection in Ha’aretz‘s English edition, which on June 6 incorrectly reported that 19-year-old girl, raped six years ago by four Palestinians when she was 13, was Palestinian. As noted last week in our Snapshots blog, the error is the latest instance of “Ha’aretz, Lost in Translation.” On June 6, Ha’aretz reported about a judge who said “some girls enjoy rape,” stating:
 
 
(The online article did not contain this wording.) Except the rape victim, a teenage girl, was not Palestinian. She was an Israeli Jew.
 
On Friday, June 14, Ha’aretz ran the following commendable correction on page 3L
