CAMERA’s Israel office prompts correction of a Times of Israel photo caption last week which erroneously referred to “recent visits by Jewish activists to al-Aqsa mosque.” While Jewish activists have recently visited the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest site, none have entered the al-Aqsa mosque which is located on the Temple Mount.
The original erroneous Nov. 26 caption follows:
Following communication from CAMERA, Times of Israel editors commendably fixed the caption, which now refers to “recent visits by Jewish activists to the Temple Mount compound.” The error originated with the Israeli Flash 90 photo service, which has also corrected its caption.
