Presspectiva, CAMERA’s Hebrew Web site, today prompted corrections in both the English and Hebrew editions of Ha’aretz on an Op-Ed by Moshe Arens which incorrectly described the European Union’s Horizon 2020 initiative. The Dec. 2 Op-Ed (“Science in the Service of Politicians“) incorrectly stated that EU restrictions on funding would apply to Israeli scientists residing over the Green Line.
Arens erred:
EU bureaucrats] have succeeded in imposing on Israel their demand that scientific cooperation of Israeli scientists with EU scientists, within the framework of the Horizon 2020 program, will be limited to those Israeli scientists who do not reside beyond the 1949 armistice lines or are not associated with institutions…
Following Presspectiva’s correction request, the following correction appeared on page 2 today:
In addition, the online text has been fixed, although no correction is appended at the bottom noting the change, as is standard journalistic practice.
