In March, Reuters’ pro-Houthi propaganda video ostensibly answering the question “Who are the Houthis?” managed to completely erase the terror group’s foundational motto — including “Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse on the Jews.” This week, Reuters again whitewashes the Iranian-backed Houthis, grossly underreporting the number of drone and missile attacks the terror organization has launched against Israel.
Since the start of Israel’s war in Gaza in October 2023, the Houthis, who control most of Yemen, have been firing at Israel and at shipping in the Red Sea, disrupting global trade.
Most of the dozens of missiles and drones they have launched have been intercepted or fallen short. [Emphasis added.]
In fact, according to Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies, the Houthis of launched “about 400” missiles and drones at Israel since Oct. 7, 2023. (Click to the 7th slide on this page.)
Likewise, on May 6, 2025, American Jewish Committee reported: “The Iran-backed Houthis have fired some 60 ballistic missiles and 310 drones at Israel since October 7, 2023.”
CAMERA reached out to Reuters to request a correction. Stay tuned for an update.
