The German news agency clarifies its captions to note that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israel, not at "Israeli areas in the Gaza Strip."

After communication with CAMERA, Insider corrected language that asserted as a matter-of-fact that the Gaza Strip is "Israeli-occupied" territory. UPDATE: Associated Press corrects after captions erroneously reported that a Sderot home was hit by a rocket fired by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. In fact, Israel's Iron Dome intercepted the rockets, and it was shrapnel from the interception which damaged the house.
VOA Deletes Video Which Grossly Inflated Number of Struggling Refugees in Gaza
In response to communication from CAMERA, Voice of America deletes a video which grossly overstated the number of refugees in the Gaza Strip suffering from poverty and unemployment. The June 12 VOA Extremism Watch video cited five million refugees facing these difficulties, more than double the territory's entire population.
AP Corrects After Calling Gaza ‘World’s Largest Muslim Nation’
CAMERA prompts correction of a series of Associated Press photo captions which absurdly misidentified the Gaza Strip as the "world's largest Muslim nation." With less than 2 million Muslims, the tiny territory is home to a tiny percentage of the world's 1.7 billion Muslims. Even Germany's Muslim population is more than double Gaza's.
