Accuracy and accountability are among the most important tenets of journalism. In combination, they mean media organizations are expected to publish or broadcast forthright corrections after sharing inaccurate information. The following corrections are among the many prompted by CAMERA’s communication with reporters and editors.
Following communication from CAMERA Arabic, BBC Arabic removes a news article's false claim that Israel often arrests members of the northern Islamic Movement for protesting against archaeological excavations in the vicinity of Temple Mount. 
Young Israeli policewoman Hadas Malka was murdered by Palestinian terrorists, who were then slain by responding Israeli forces. The BBC headline reads, "Three Palestinians killed after deadly stabbing." Following communication from CAMERA's BBC Watch, BBC amends an article which misleadingly implied that Israel is constructing new settlements, as opposed to constructing homes within established settlements.CAMERA's BBC Watch prompts an online correction of a BBC Radio program which falsely claimed that Israel banned Dorit Rabinyan's "Borderlife." BBC Watch continues to urge an on air correction.
After BBC Persian accused Elie Wiesel of charging Israel with "genocide," CAMERA's BBC Watch communicated with editors and secured a correction to the false claim. After CAMERA and its affiliate BBC Watch highlighted a falsehood in Lyse Doucet's interview of Shimon Peres, and after a reader filed a complaint with the BBC, the broadcaster appended a correction to their Web site. As a result of CAMERA's formal complaint to the BBC, the British media giant removed from its Web site major distortions about the US position on Israeli settlements. 
On March 7, 2008 the BBC aired video of Israel destroying the home of the terrorist who had just murdered eight yeshiva students. But the house has not been demolished, and on March 13 the BBC corrected the report.
