UPDATED: CNN Ignores Hit Jeep, Injured Israelis

In response to communication from CAMERA, CNN editors vastly improve yesterday's egregious coverage of Gaza violence which had omitted mention of Israeli injured, had stated that an Israeli army jeep was "target[ed]" whereas it was actually hit, and had reversed cause and effect.

Cheap Shots: Tamimi Girl Ups the Ante

Two months ago, a CAMERA  Op-Ed described  the lead role two young girls took in  the violent Nabi Saleh demonstrations against the Israeli army. It turns out that pro-Palestinian activists pay children from Nabi Salih and tnearby villages to confront the soldiers.

The Los Angeles Times and Temple Mount Provocations

Edmund Sanders article today in the Los Angeles Times about a purported increase in attempts by Jewish worshipers to pray on the Temple Mount unnecessarily exacerbates tensions by publishing false Palestinian accusations as fact.

At Ha’aretz, English Translation Takes a Beating

Chris Hedges the Facts, Truth

On PBS' Bill Moyers program, Chris Hedges makes a number of revealing assertions about journalism, truth, and Israel coverage. Surprisingly, he emphasizes the importance of fact-checking, something that was sorely lacking in his own Gaza reporting.

CNN Remakes Terrorists into ‘Political Prisoners’

CNN repeatedly misidentifies prisoners whose release was demanded by the Munich terrorists as "political" prisoners. Among them is Kozo Okamoto, who took part in the 1972 Lod airport attack, killing 28.

The Christian Science Monitor and the Gaza Book Libel

Ruqaya Izzidien, who has contributed to the Muslim Brotherhood Web site, deceives and self-censors to breathe new life into the old Gaza blockade story, accusing Israel of stifling Gaza's intellectual life by making it difficult to import books. (And never mind Hamas's bans on books and newspapers.)

Ha’aretz Rocket Remix

For two consecutive days, Ha'aretz misrepresents the chronology of the recent escalation of violence in southern Israel and Gaza. The print edition falsely claims an Israeli strike on Gaza preceded the attacks on Mitzpeh Ramon and Ovda.
