CAMERA staff and members prompted a Los Angeles Times correction on correspondent Laura King's April 24 article which grossly overstated the number of Palestinian refugees from the 1948 war. Editors, however, declined to correct a second error in King's article that day, in which she misrepresented the Israeli army description of West Bank raids
It seems that some members of the media are having a tough time differentiating the terms of the American brokered "road map" from Palestinian unilateral demands on Israel. Namely, while Palestinians have conditioned their cease-fire on the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons (among other demands), the "road map" plan, drawn up by the United States, European Union, Russia, and the United Nations, has nothing at all to say about Palestinian prisoners.
In a striking display of tunnel vision, Los Angeles Times Jerusalem correspondent Laura King missed the plainly clear evidence that many Palestinian residents of Gaza resent Hamas for endangering their neighborhoods by launching attacks against Israel from the area.
