Who Verifies NPR’s Reporting on the Hamas War?
"NPR cannot independently verify these claims" is the refrain used to discredit Israel's claims and the evidence that supports them. Not so for Hamas claims of casualties that are treated as authoritative figures that need no verification. The double standard raises the question of whether anyone can verify NPR's reporting or credibility.
In a series timed to coincide with Israeli elections, NPR's Morning Edition suggests that Israel's claims to the West Bank are illegitimate and its settlements illegal and portray Palestinians as hapless victims who bear no responsibility for their misfortunes 
Two countries border the Gaza Strip. Both strictly limit the passage of goods and people into and out of the Strip. But when describing the effect of these border restrictions, some inaccurately and unfairly attribute responsibility to only one of the countries — Israel. 
While some media reports now include statements from Israeli officials maintaining that Hamas manufactured the disputed crisis and accusing the terrorist group of responsibility for hardships, almost all ignore similar statements from Arabs.
