Despite the efforts of host Gwen Ifill to challenge him on some key points, Free Gaza Movement leader Adam Shapiro used PBS NewsHour to propagandize on behalf of his radical organization's flotilla stunt.
On his CNN show "Fareed Zakaria GPS," Zakaria takes a wrong turn, falsely claiming that Israel annexed the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Also, the Turkish foreign minister dispenses falsehoods about international law and the IHH. 
NPR news analyst Daniel Schorr brands Israel's blockade of Hamas a "blockade of hate," while colleague Sheera Frankel ignores Erdogan's endorsement of Hamas. Tilted Gaza reports ignore Israeli offers to deliver flotilla aid, including concrete, and Hamas' refusal. 
Greta Berlin, spokeswoman for and co-founder of the Free Gaza movement, is a radical anti-Israel activist with a background in communications and theater arts. She apparently has no compunction about distorting the facts to further her agenda. 
International Herald Tribune editors were asleep at the helm, ignoring video evidence showing violence on the part of the flotilla passengers, whitewashing IHH, and giving a distorted picture of international law.
Under international law Israel is within its rights to establish a maritime blockade of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, and to arrest "peace activists" on board vessels attempting to run the blockade, since Hamas is a hostile entity engaged in illegal armed confiict against Israeli civilians. 
In the aftermath of Israel's operation to prevent pro-Palestinian radicals from violating the naval blockade on the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, media organizations are again focusing on Israel and its opponents in a way reminiscent of the onset of the second Palestinian "intifada."
