Following communication from CAMERA, CNN corrects an article on the Qatar crisis which wrongly referred to a new Hamas policy document as a "new charter," and which inflated unemployment in Gaza.After contact from CAMERA, The Washington Post corrected a March 3, 2017 article that could lead readers to infer that the Gaza Strip is occupied by Israel. CAMERA prompts corrections today of an AP headline, article and photo captions which wrongly referred to a new mall in Gaza as the territory's "first" mall. In 2010 and 2011, AP had covered the openings of smaller malls. CAMERA prompts correction of a Times of Israel article which overstated Palestinian reports regarding the number of Gazans killed Aug. 1, 2014, during heavy Israeli bombardment aimed at a rescuing soldier Hadar Goldin. After an extensive exchange with CAMERA, The Los Angeles Times corrects a book review passage which inaccurately characterized the Gaza Strip as still under Israeli occupation. Biased captions by AFP and Reuters about Gaza teen Abdulrahman Al-Dabag noted only the Palestinian charge that Israeli troops shot him dead. Thanks to CAMERA, the agencies add that Israel's army said troops used only tear gas. 
After CAMERA communicated with editors, the newspaper published a correction noting that it had "overstated the impact of Israeli restrictions on travel and trade in the Gaza Strip," and that Israel does not restrict the import of medicines. CAMERA prompts correction of a New York Times article which inaccurately reported: "In April, Israel suspended the delivery of cement to Gaza for the reconstruction of homes." The ban applied only to private imports, not to those of aid groups and states. Following The New York Times, Reuters is the second news outlet within 24 hours to correct the inaccuracy that Israel had imposed a 45-day ban on concrete imports into Gaza. The ban applied only to private deliveries; nearly 40,000 tons entered during that time.
