Monitor Global Outlook Corrects: Jerusalem is Israel’s Capital

Monitor Global Outlook, a global intelligence and research service of The Christian Science Monitor, has commendably corrected an erroneous reference to Tel Aviv as Israel’s capital. An April 14 article erroneously reported:
 
 
Following communication from CAMERA’s Israel office, editors at Global Outlook immediately corrected the article. The piece now correctly refers to Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, a common journalistic shorthand for denoting the Israeli government:
 
 
In addition, editors commendably appended the following correction to the bottom of the article:
 
 
CAMERA appreciates Global Outlook’s timely and thorough steps in setting the record straight.
 
Many other media outlets have corrected erroneous references to Tel Aviv as Israel’s capital, most recently The Washington Post.
