CAMERA’s David Litman Addresses ‘Rage Against the Hate’ Conference

Last week, CAMERA Senior Researcher David Litman appeared on a panel of legal and policy experts at Shurat HaDin’s Second Annual “Rage Against the Hate Conference.”

The event, held in New York City, brought together a range of incisive voices in law, media, and public advocacy to address the growing challenge of antisemitism and the campaign to delegitimize Israel in the U.S. and beyond.

Litman spoke on a panel alongside Kenneth Marcus, founder and chairman of the Louis D. Brandeis Center and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education for Civil Rights; Ysabella Hazan, a Jewish student leader who has become a prominent activist against campus antisemitism; and Shabbos Kestenbaum, an American Jewish activist and graduate of Harvard Divinity School.

“It was an honor to appear alongside eloquent and insightful leaders like Ken Marcus, Ysabella Hazan, and Shabbos Kestenbaum,” Litman said. “Together, we discussed our battle against antisemitism and extremism on campuses, including where we stand now and where to go from here.”

Following the event, Shurat HaDin founder Nitsana Darshan-Leitner thanked Litman and the other participants for their contributions, describing their work as playing “a vital role in strengthening our collective voice and advancing the pursuit of justice for Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.”

“Your words inspired not only the audience in the room, but also countless others who will continue to hear your message. Thank you for standing with us, for lending your expertise, and for helping ensure that the fight against hate remains strong and unwavering,” the organization said in a statement offered to CAMERA last week.

The conference platformed voices from across the legal, diplomatic, and media sectors, who shared strategies to combat antisemitism on university campuses, in international institutions, and online. The annual event, which began in 2024, has quickly become an important forum for coordination among organizations advocating against bias towards Israel and the Jewish people.
