CiF Watch Prompts Telegraph Correction on Western Wall

CiF Watch, a CAMERA affiliate, has prompted a correction on an Oct. 23 article at The Telegraph which had incorrectly identified the Western Wall as Judaism’s holiest site. While it is the holiest site which Jewish prayer is permitted, the Temple Mount is Judaism’s most sacred site. The error and correction follow:
Error (Daily Telegraph, Dina Rickman, 10/23/13): The Western Wall might be the holiest site in the Jewish world, but not all Jews can worship there as they wish…

Correction (10/24/13): The Western Wall might be the holiest site in the Jewish world where Jews are permitted to pray, but not all Jews can worship there as they wish…

CAMERA and CiF Watch commend The Telegraph for the prompt correction. Other media outlets which have likewise corrected this point include The Washington Post and the BBC.
