Following communication with CAMERA staff in Israel, Ha’aretz has commendably corrected a March 12 print article, first noted last week on CAMERA’s site, which wrongly stated that the United Nations recognized Palestine as a full-fledged member. The print edition erred:
The UN recognized the Church of the Nativity as a Palestinian World Heritage Site several months after Palestine became a full-fledge member of the organization.
The error was the result of what we call “Ha’aretz, Lost in Translation,” and not a reporting error. Today’s correction (below) appears on page 2:
