MSNBC’s Dan Abrams Slams “CNN’s Holy War”

Dan Abrams tonight slammed CNN's "God's Warriors" as biased shoddy journalism, saying at the outset that the three-part series "was not what it claimed or promised to be." In the segment, titled "CNN's Holy war?", Abrams also said "CNN should have called it what it was, a defense of Islamic fundamentalism and the worst type of moral relativism."

God’s Jewish Warriors — CNN’s Abomination

CNN's "God's Jewish Warriors," hosted by Christiane Amanpour, is currently being rebroadcast on CNN. The piece is one of a three-part series supposedly intended to examine the growing role of religious fundamentalism in today's world. CNN made significant revisions to the program after it was criticized for a number of serious distortions. Unchanged, however, is the fundamentally dishonest premise of the series equating religiously devout Jews and Christians to radical Islam.

On CNN, Many More Carter Fabrications

The multiple factual errors in Jimmy Carter's interviews with Wolf Blitzer and Larry King suggest that the former president either has scant knowledge of the facts, or little desire to truthfully discuss those facts.

Updated: Post’s Thomas Ricks Charges Israel Intentionally Leaving Hezbollah Rockets Intact

Thomas Ricks, Pentagon reporter for the Washington Post, charged on CNN that Israel had intentionally left some Hezbollah launchers intact to ensure that for PR purposes there would be continued killings of Israelis. This charge is nothing short of obscene. Israeli soldiers are fighting and dying in house-to-house battles to root out Hezbollah rocket teams that are trying to kill the soldiers' wives and children. Ricks should prove his charge or retract it.

CNN Anchor Charges Israel Intentionally Allowing Hezbollah Rockets to Hit

In the course of a hostile interview on July 30 with Israeli spokesperson Miri Eisen, CNN International anchor Rosemary Church actually charged that Israel could shoot down the Hezbollah Katyusha rockets that have rained down on the country, but has chosen not to try. A country that would do such a monstrous thing is capable of anything, which is apparently what Ms. Church believes.

Prisoners’ Document: Peace Plan or “Phased Plan”?

Much of the media is misreporting the substance of the referendum proposed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the so-called Prisoners' Document presented in the referendum. Reports claiming the document is a "peace plan" or that it accepts a two-state solution recognizing Israel are selling an idea of Hamas moderation that has little, if any, basis. While such overenthusiastic extrapolation might be acceptable in an opinion or analysis piece, news stories should stick to reporting the facts.
