Accuracy and accountability are among the most important tenets of journalism. In combination, they mean media organizations are expected to publish or broadcast forthright corrections after sharing inaccurate information. The following corrections are among the many prompted by CAMERA’s communication with reporters and editors.
CAMERA prompts a Newsweek correction of the absurd claim that the West Bank village of Susiya "has been in Palestinian control since the 1830s." Newsweek has yet to correct its erroneous depiction of the Israel Anti-Boycott Act. The story had alleged the international community considers the occupation to be illegal. After a correspondence with CAMERA, the inaccurate claim was removed. CAMERA prompts correction of a Reuters article which erroneously referred to Husam Zomlot, the chief diplomat at the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) mission in Washington, as an ambassador. 
CAMERA prompts correction of an International Business Times story which inaccurately claimed that a Lebanese paper alleged that Gal Gadot is a Mossad agent. Al Liwaa mistakenly used Gadot's picture with a story about an alleged spy, and apologized.
CAMERA prompts correction of an egregiously false Jerusalem Post headline which provided fodder for anti-Israel conspiracy theories. The headline had alleged: "Report: ISIS, Israel Temporary Allies Against Iran." The report said no such thing. CAMERA prompts correction of a Deutsche Presse Agentur (DPA) photo caption which significantly overstated the Gaza Strip's population as "around three million." The correct figure is less than two million.
CAMERA prompts correction of a Los Angeles Times article which upgraded Palestinian diplomat Husam Zomlot from envoy to ambassador. CAMERA prompts correction to an NBC article which referred to the "ongoing occupation" of the Gaza Strip. In 2005, Israel withdrew every last Israeli soldier and civilian from the Gaza Strip. A piece in Foreign Affairs referred to policies in "Washington and Tel Aviv," wrongly casting the latter as Israel's capital. After communication by CAMERA, the publication corrected its inaccurate language. 
Rasmeah Odeh, convicted of a deadly bombing in Israel, was deported from the United States because she concealed her criminal record. In a travel column about California love, social justice and community, The New York Times also conceals Odeh's conviction, calling her a "controversial Palestinian activist."
