Accuracy and accountability are among the most important tenets of journalism. In combination, they mean media organizations are expected to publish or broadcast forthright corrections after sharing inaccurate information. The following corrections are among the many prompted by CAMERA’s communication with reporters and editors.
In response to communication from CAMERA, CNN editors vastly improve yesterday's egregious coverage of Gaza violence which had omitted mention of Israeli injured, had stated that an Israeli army jeep was "target[ed]" whereas it was actually hit, and had reversed cause and effect. 
Following communication from CAMERA staff, CNN editors corrected an online article which had wrongly stated that Israel captured Jerusalem in 1967. The error and correction follow: Following communication from CAMERA, ABC News corrected an online column which had wrongly stated Gaza settlements were causing friction between Obama and Netanyahu. Israel completely dismantled Gaza settlements years before Obama took office. In response to communication from CAMERA staff, Wall Street Journal editors promptly correct a map which referred to the West Bank as "Palestine." They also correct a caption which likewise identified the Gaza Strip as "Palestine." CAMERA staff elicited a correction on a Los Angeles Times news article which wrongly stated that the Syrian town of Quneitra is in the "Israeli-occupied Golan Heights." CAMERA staff have elicited a clarification in a New York Times story about Egyptian leader Mohamed Morsi that misrepresented the 1978 Camp David Accords. CAMERA staff have elicited a correction on a Los Angeles Times article this week which wrongly identified the Israeli civilian killed in a June terror attack as a soldier. CiF Watch, an independent project of CAMERA, prompted a correction on a Guardian article which vastly overstated the amount of settlement construction recently approved by Binyamin Netanyahu. 
Alex Awad, the Dean of Students at Bethlehem Bible College, has agreed to remove a fake Ben Gurion quote from future DVDs of his presentation about the Arab-Israeli conflict. CAMERA's Israel office prompted a correction in Ha'aretz on a photo caption which had wrongly placed a "Nakba Day" clash in Ramallah, when it actually took place at the Ofer military prison outside of Ramallah.
