Nicholas Kristof's "Tough Love for Israel" (New York Times, July 24) demonstrates his vast ignorance regarding Israel and its neighbors, along with his proclivity to choose to "forget" messy facts which get in the way of his simplistic view of Israel as the major obstacle to peace. 
Little media focus has been given to ongoing UN abuses, including the Human Rights Council appointing anti-Israel zealots, preparations for "Durban II" and a resolution threating free speech. 
A Los Angeles Times op-ed by Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer spewed more of the authors anti-Israel inaccuracies and was accompanied by an anti-Semitic cartoon more at home in a neo-Nazi publication than a supposedly major newspaper. 
What is most striking in the first two segments of CNN's "God's Warriors" series is the different way Amanpour presents Jews and Muslims and their supporters. 
The photo accompanying a NY Times' film review showed the smiling face of Ahlam Tamimi. That Tamimi was the unrepentant terrorist who assisted in the suicide bombing of a pizza shop, killing 16, was not mentioned. 
Former President Carter is doing interviews to promote his egregiously biased new book which attempts to rewrite Middle East history. For him, Arab parties are blameless and Israel is almost entirely at fault.
