Amnesty International this week released a report blaming Palestinians for a much-publicized incident that resulted in the deaths of Palestinian children and other civilians during last summer's war between Hamas and Israel. CAMERA discusses some of the takeaways. 
Following communication from CAMERA, The New York Times commendably corrects a news analysis which had stated as fact that arson was responsible for a fire in a West Bank mosque. Will CNN, AFP and The Los Angeles Times likewise correct? 
Much of the mainstream media coverage of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is marred by the attempt to fit breaking events into a pre-existing, simplistic narrative whereby Palestinians are not held directly responsible for their actions. This again was the case with the coverage of the brutal massacre in a Jerusalem synagogue. 
Fareed Zakaria of CNN, The Washington Post, etc., has been caught plagiarizing again. The chronic Middle East misreader still has protexia, but feet of clay are showing.

When Nabil Shaath tells Wolf Blitzer that 700 women, children and elderly civilians have been killed in Gaza. CNN's failure to fact-check this egregious falsehood means the network's viewers are misinformed. CAMERA staff prompts a CNN correction of a broadcast which erroneously stated that an American human rights official criticized Israel for alleged crimes against humanity. In fact, the official in question was from the United Nations.
