Accuracy and accountability are among the most important tenets of journalism. In combination, they mean media organizations are expected to publish or broadcast forthright corrections after sharing inaccurate information. The following corrections are among the many prompted by CAMERA’s communication with reporters and editors.
CAMERA prompts correction today of an AFP feature entitled which falsely stated that the 1988 Palestinian Declaration of Independence referred to "two states for two peoples" and that "this recognition is endorsed by" the PLO. For the second time in less than two weeks, CAMERA's UK Media Watch has prompted a correction at Times of London over the erroneous suggestion that Tel Aviv is Israel’s capital. 
After CAMERA alerted a CNN anchor about her erroneous reference to Israel's approvals of "new settlements" in the West Bank, she makes clear that no new settlements have been built there for nearly two decades. "Here and Now," produced by NPR and WBUR, is the latest to correct the erroneous claim that Israeli plans to build thousands of "new settlements." Plans are for new homes in existing settlements, not for new settlements. In record time, ABC (Australia) corrects a headline: Israel's controversial "normalization law" would affect 4,000 residential units, not 4,000 outposts. 
It's undisputed that Yakub Musa al-Kiyan fatally ran over policeman Erez Levy, but Haaretz English edition had referred to al-Kiyan's involvement as a "police claim."
