One might hope that Richard Goldstone's retraction of charges his report leveled against Israel would cause the report's advocates to reconsider their position. But Human Rights Watch Executive Director Kenneth Roth responds by launching more accusations at Israel. 
Al Jazeera's reporting on the unrest in the Middle East has received increasing attention. That should not obscure serious concerns that its coverage is biased in favor of an Islamic fundamentalist agenda.

Hamas Minister Fathi Hamad revealed that 600-700 Hamas and affiliated fighters were lost in the Israeli Cast Lead operation, refuting the claim, given credence in the Goldstone Report, that Palestinian fatalities were overwhelmingly non-combatants.
The Juilliard Journal is not known for hosting heated discussions about the Middle East. But it recently published a defamatory piece on Israel along with several letters from a group of connected anti-Israel activists lauding the piece. 
NY Times columnist Nicholas Kristof asserts that the Israeli blockade has failed. Palestinian opinion polls do not support his viewpoint.
