Recent press attention has focused on the repatriation of illegal African migrants from Israel. Very little of it has explained the context and difficult challenges facing Israel as a result of large-scale illegal immigration, particularly by non-Jews. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is considering an anti-Israel resolution that includes a quote falsely attributed to Nelson Mandela. The fake quote got passed five Presbyteries and three PC(USA) committees.
Presspectiva Editor-in-Chief Published in Ha’aretz
Yishai Goldflam, editor-in-chief of Presspectiva, CAMERA's Hebrew Web site, published an Op-Ed column in Ha'aretz, faulting that paper and other Israeli media for spreading the falsehood that Israel maintains "Jewish-only" roads in the West Bank. This is significant, especially since the fiction of "Jewish-only" roads features prominently in "Israel apartheid" mythology and is frequently cited by anti-Israel and pro-BDS agitators. The claim that Israel has 35 laws that discriminate against Arab citizens is a transparently false canard meant to delegitimize the Jewish state. BBC's shoddy, prejudicial treatment of Israel and Jewish issues continued in a May 8 Hardtalk segment with Sarah Montague that featured anti-Jewish, Israel-basher Norman Finkelstein as commentator on American Jewish attitudes towards Israel. What does an academic journal with a self-proclaimed “dedication to accuracy” do to make right with its readers after it dramatically misinforms them about an important historical document? In the case of the Journal of Palestine Studies, it apparently threatens legal action.
