The murder of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar prompted familiar circumlocutions and evasions by The New York Times where the killing of Jews is concerned. Rather than call it a "terrorist attack"— the family was said to have been killed by "intruders." 
A journalist who manipulates every bit of breaking news to fit a favored narrative, as Karl Vick has done, is better suited for the most partisan of blogs. 
Once again, Hamas claims that harming children is against the group's policy, despite a long history of brutality targeting youngsters. Palestinian Authority officials also pile on the denials. Anti-Israel hatemongers pick up the signals and blame the Mossad for the Fogel murders. 
Glenn Beck of FoxNews presented, in his programs on March 14 and 15, a moving and obviously heartfelt analysis of the murders of Udi and Ruth Fogel, and their children Yoav (11), Elad (4), and Hadas (3 months old), residents of the Israeli community of Itamar. 
Ha'aretz finds page-one space for settlement building, Tokyo, migrating cranes and new technology in archeology, but not for the burial of the five Fogels, including a toddler and an infant, brutally murdered in a Palestinian terror attack. 
What does a terror attack against Israel teach us? According to the New York Times, it's that Israel is being disruptive. In its recent coverage of two deadly attacks against Israelis, the newspaper demonstrated an especially flagrant abandonment of journalistic standards, spinning coverage so as to deflect culpability for the violence away from the perpetrators. 
By uncritically relaying that Hezbollah respects Jews and is opposed only to Israel’s occupation, CNN's Fareed Zakaria dramatically misinformed viewers about Hezbollah, which has repeatedly made clear its opposition to Israel’s very existence and its contempt for Jews.
